This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit mavimarine.com.tr (the “Website”) or contact us. Mavi Marine is a trademark of MES MARINE Yatçılık San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

For enquiries handled by our Dubai office, MES MARINE L.L.C-FZ Dubai, Meydan Freezone Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E. (info@mesmarinedubai.com), acts as controller for the processing it carries out.
We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, the Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) and the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), as applicable.
2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiries: when you email or call us — your name, company, contact details, information about your yacht or project and the content of your message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time — recorded in server logs by our hosting provider for security and operation.
- Analytics data (only with your consent): pseudonymous identifiers, approximate location derived from the IP address and information about how you use the Website, collected through Google Analytics.
- Your cookie choice: stored in your browser so that we can respect it.
The Website has no user accounts, contact forms or payment functions. Please do not send us special categories of personal data, such as health data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to enquiries and preparing proposals — steps prior to a contract and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f)).
- Providing our services under a signed agreement — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
- Operating and securing the Website — legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
- Website analytics — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); KVKK Art. 5(1)).

Under the UAE PDPL we process personal data on the basis of consent, contractual necessity, legal obligations or other grounds permitted by that law.

5. Who we share data with
- our hosting and email service providers, who process data on our behalf under contract;
- Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, for analytics — only if you consent;
- MES Marine group entities in Türkiye and the U.A.E., where needed to handle your enquiry;
- professional advisers (for example lawyers and accountants) and public authorities where required by law.
We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
We operate from Türkiye and the U.A.E., and some service providers (including Google) may process data in other countries, such as the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the UK or Türkiye, we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses, including the standard contracts and procedures required under Article 9 of the KVKK — or on your explicit consent where the law requires it.
7. Retention
- Enquiry correspondence: up to 3 years after our last contact, unless a contract follows;
- Contract and accounting records: for the periods required by Turkish commercial and tax law (generally 10 years);
- Server logs: as retained by our hosting provider, normally no longer than 2 years;
- Analytics data: 14 months;
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, after which we ask again.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- access your personal data and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased or its processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for example your local EU data protection authority, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or the UAE Data Office.
Rights under Article 11 of the KVKK
Data subjects in Türkiye may (a) learn whether their personal data is processed; (b) request information about the processing; (c) learn the purpose of the processing and whether data is used accordingly; (d) know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred; (e) request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; (f) request erasure or destruction under Article 7; (g) request that third parties to whom data was transferred are notified of (e) and (f); (h) object to a result against them arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems; and (i) claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restrictions and careful selection of service providers. No transmission over the internet is completely secure.
10. Children
The Website is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. External links
The Website links to our specialist platforms, group companies and partners’ websites. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices.
